The technician who carried our the DoE test on this camper said that it was one of best he had seen and was in better condition than many of the later-year campers he had tested. Viewing by appointment in Boyle, Co. Roscommon, which is 2 hours from the M50 in Dublin and about 30 mins from Sligo. Boyle is on the main Dublin-Sligo railway line and, if you wish to travel by train, we can arrange that I can collect you from the railway station in Boyle at an agreed time. SOLD: sorry, this camper has been sold New DoE Roadworthiness Test Cert (NCT) for a Camper/Motorhome/Motorcaravan in Ireland:During February 2012, the Road Safety Authority (RSA) wrote to the owners of campers in Ireland to say that, as from 1st March 2012, all campers over 4 years old must have a current valid DoE Roadworthiness Certificate. The DoE test is similar to the NCT for cars, except that it is carried out in a separate test centre, which is geared up to cater for large vehicles, such as vans, lorries and campers.Details of the new law can be found here (pdf) and a short summary can be found here on thecaravanclub.ie. This law is now in force, so it would be very risky to buy a camper without a DoE Roadworthiness Cert, since many older campers, which have never needed a test before now, are likely to fail the test. In some cases, the cost of repair to get the camper through the test may be prohibitive. By buying this camper, you avoid this risk, since it already has a current valid DoE Cert, which is valid until 5th January 2013.
